This Privacy Policy describes how Honey Sleep ("we," "the app") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Account Information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique user identifier. We do not receive your name or email unless you choose to share them.
Sleep Session Data. We record the times you start and end a sleep session, along with aggregated metrics such as time in bed, estimated time asleep, sleep latency, and wake count. This data is stored in your personal account.
Ambient Sound Levels. During an active sleep session, the app uses your device microphone to analyze room audio for sleep detection. Audio features are extracted and processed entirely on-device by a machine learning model. No audio recordings are captured, transmitted, or stored.
Screen Time Usage. If you opt in, the app uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to block selected apps during your sleep schedule. The list of apps you choose to block is stored locally on your device.
Device Battery Level. The app reads your device's battery level to suggest charging before sleep. This value is used locally and is not transmitted.
Push Notifications. If you grant permission, we may send optional bedtime reminders. You can disable these at any time in your device Settings.
To provide core app features: sleep tracking, bedtime recommendations, and app blocking schedules.
To store and sync your sleep history across sessions via our backend (Supabase).
To improve sleep detection accuracy over time.
To send you notifications you have opted into.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
Your sleep data is stored in a secure cloud database (Supabase) and is associated only with your unique account identifier. Data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS. App-blocking preferences and device-level data remain on your device and are not uploaded.
Apple Sign In. Used for account authentication. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Supabase. Cloud database provider used to store your account and sleep session data. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
Microphone. You can revoke microphone permission at any time in your iOS Settings. Sleep detection will be limited without it.
Screen Time. App blocking is opt-in during onboarding and can be changed at any time.
Notifications. You can disable all notifications in your iOS Settings.
Delete Your Data. Contact us to request deletion of all data associated with your account.
Honey Sleep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have received such data in error, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
