Honey Sleep · Effective date: July 27, 2026 · Last updated: July 27, 2026
Honey Sleep ("Honey," "we," "our," or "us") provides sleep tracking, personalized sleep programs, sleep insights, bedtime routines, and optional Screen Time features through the Honey Sleep mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information Honey collects, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.
When you use Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique account identifier. Depending on the choices you make when signing in, Apple may also provide your name and email address, including an Apple private relay email address.
We associate your Honey data with this account identifier so that we can authenticate your account, synchronize information, manage your subscription access, and process account deletion requests.
We collect information you provide while setting up and using Honey, which may include:
Your name
Current and preferred bedtime and wake time
Typical sleep duration
Sleep goals and preferred schedule
Satisfaction with your sleep
Difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
Nighttime awakenings
Factors or barriers affecting your sleep
How sleep affects your daily life
Sleep-related preferences
How you heard about Honey
Whether you choose to participate in a personalized sleep program
This information is used to personalize your experience, calculate recommendations, and create your sleep program.
When you use Honey to track a sleep session, we may collect and store:
Sleep session start and end times
Time in bed
Estimated sleep and wake times
Estimated sleep duration
Sleep latency
Estimated awakenings
Sleep scores and contributing factors
Derived sleep classifications and events
Information about your progress toward a sleep schedule
These measurements are estimates and are not intended to provide medical diagnoses.
If you grant microphone permission, Honey analyzes ambient sound during an active sleep session to help estimate sleep and wake periods.
Raw microphone audio is processed on your device. Honey does not record, transmit, or store raw audio recordings.
Honey may store derived sleep classifications, events, and session metrics produced by on-device processing. These derived results do not contain an audio recording or allow the original audio to be reconstructed.
You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings. Some sleep-detection functionality may be limited without microphone access.
If you connect Apple Health and grant permission, Honey may read sleep-analysis information from HealthKit, including:
Sleep and wake times
Time asleep and time in bed
Awake periods
Available sleep-stage information
The source of the sleep information
Honey uses this information to display sleep history, calculate insights, compare sleep patterns, and personalize recommendations.
Honey requests read-only access to supported sleep information and does not write sleep data to Apple Health. Apple Health information is processed within the App and is not used for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or eligibility decisions.
You can revoke Honey's access to Apple Health at any time through the Health app or iOS Settings.
If you use Honey's routine features, we may store:
The routine steps you select or create
Whether a step is assigned to the morning or evening
Completion or skipped status
The date associated with a routine response
Routine consistency and progress metrics
We use this information to show routine progress and identify patterns that may affect your sleep.
If you participate in a personalized sleep program, we may store:
Whether the program is enabled
Program start and pause dates
Your original and recommended schedule
Program progress
Schedule adjustments and recalibrations
Streak or consistency information
This information is used to adjust recommendations and display your progress.
If you enable Honey's Screen Time features, Honey uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to apply restrictions to apps you select during configured periods.
The selection of apps and categories you choose to restrict is managed through Apple's Screen Time framework and stored on your device or within Apple-managed system storage. Honey does not receive or store a history of which apps you open, what you do inside other apps, or the content you view.
Honey does not use Screen Time access to track general phone usage.
During an active sleep session, Honey may process device-motion signals to help identify potential movement or device interaction.
These signals are processed on your device. Honey does not use motion access to determine your geographic location or create a general history of phone usage.
Honey may read your device's battery level and charging state to remind you to charge your phone before starting a sleep session.
Battery information is processed locally and is not stored in your Honey account.
If you grant notification permission, Honey may send bedtime reminders, routine reminders, sleep-program updates, trial or subscription information, and other service-related notifications.
You can manage notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Honey does not receive or store your complete payment card or bank account information.

Purchase and renewal status
Trial and promotional-offer status

Temporary backup and recovery systems
